The Role We are looking for a project officer to join our busy project and development team. The Successful Candidate will support our project managers in some of the technical aspects. This includes testing processes, reviewing data provided by customers, and configuring systems. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and have excellent communication skills. They will need a logical, careful, and consistent approach, with an eye for detail. Full training will be provided and will include shadowing other members of the team. Our Client A Yorkshire based business, our Client develops and supplies software and hardware solutions to local authorities and waste management operators in the UK. They provide innovative software for frontline municipal services such as waste and recycling, environment, street scene, and highways. With 1 in 5 UK council waste departments using their systems. They are the market leader and continually innovating in both technology and services, so public services are not only better today but ready to embrace tomorrow's challenges and opportunities. Main duties: Write or review testing documentation Examination and checking of customer data before entry into the software Carry out testing and document results Liaise with project staff and developers on issues found Configuring systems for customers Reviewing and checking customer data Attending project meetings Writing up minutes of meetings Preparing agendas and relevant documentation Writing Project Initiation Documents Updating RAID and project plans Liaising with customers to provide updates on project progress The ideal candidate will require: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel Self-motivation and the ability to work under own initiative and pressure Previous testing or project office experience will be an advantage This role may be suitable for flexible working hours. Nice to have skills and experience: Experience working with local authorities Experience working with municipal waste companies Experience delivering SAAS projects Experience using Monday project management platform
