We are seeking a multifaceted Project Proposals Lead to join our Systems & Software UK&I business. You will engage with our Systems and Software sales team and customers, where you will proactively architecture and define technical solutions for new and existing customers, generating professional proposals using solutions to solve customer’s problems, whilst promoting the benefits of a partnership with Emerson. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Engage with the systems and software sales team, contribute to sales strategies, develop proposal strategies and contracting concepts. Receive customer enquiries, interpret customer specifications and understand the customer’s challenges. Work with the systems and software Operations Organisation, High Value Engineering Centres, Third Party Suppliers and other departments/BU’s to plan, organise and manage the creation of competitive best cost proposals. Participate in pre and post-sales customer meetings; such as tender clarification meetings, technical presentations, site visits, and project execution interactions. Become knowledgeable of all systems and software products and solutions, updating knowledge as systems and software portfolio stretches; acting as a technical and applications consultant to the systems and software Sales Team. Work with the systems and software engineering team to develop the best possible technical solution to meet the customer requirements in a commercially competitive setting. Prepare technical and commercial quotations for the solutions, equipment and services required. Liaise with the sales team, engineers and customers during the bidding process to refine the quotation and convert the quotation to an order. In pursuit of projects, work in conjunction with key Sales Pursuit roles and other BUs to ensure that proposals are complete and provide the maximum allowable participation of all Company products and solutions. Actively participate as a key team member of the systems and software proposals and sales organisation. In partnership with sales and proposal strategies develop technical and contracting concepts. Lead cross organisational teams to achieve key proposal deliverables in a timely manner. Follow IMS and PMO guidelines and procedures. Who You Are: You are a results-driven professional with strong experience in project proposals. You’re a natural collaborator and enjoy interaction with cross-functional teams, building client relationships and delivering innovative technical solutions that exceed customer expectations. If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you! For This Role, You Will Need: Experience of working within a Project Proposals role. Background and experience in Inside Sales and Customer Service equivalent roles. Demonstrate ability to communicate at both technical and commercial level to resolve customer issues. Experience of developing successful cross functional relationships internally, within a matrix organisation advantageous. Experience of using product and business systems and standard business reporting tools, for example Oracle and CRM systems. This role will be based in Leicester, with regular travel across the UK. Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Experience of working within a System Integrator type organisation. Experience of operating within the Process Automation Industry.
