Your new company Our client is a well-established Scottish-owned construction business with operations across the country. Their busy Aberdeen business is expecting a very buoyant 2025 and are seeking to expand their commercial team with the addition of a Project Quantity Surveyor. Our clients work across multiple sectors, from commercial construction and education to social housing and refurbishment, so they can offer their staff a varied and stimulating mix of projects.

Your new role Reporting to the Commercial Lead for their business, your initial project will be a commercial project encompassing an extension and refurbishment of a leisure facility to the tune of approx £8million. This project is in preconstruction and will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to add commercial value from the start of the project. Working with your operational lead you will manage the procurement phase and once the project hits the site, you will take on day-to-day commercial management of the project. As this project develops, you will start to get exposed to other projects and opportunities and, with our client primed for growth, you will have the scope to develop your role and career.

What you'll need to succeed Our client is seeking to appoint a degree-qualified surveyor with experience in the delivery of commercial or social housing projects. You will have the capability to work independently at all phases of the construction lifecycle and enjoy being based on-site working with your operational team in achieving your project goals. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in the local area on similar-sized projects, but this is not essential.

What you'll get in return Our clients offer an exceptional and comprehensive benefits package including an attractive salary, exceptional pension and the opportunity to earn an attractive bonus. Working with a supportive and progressive commercial manager is a really attractive opportunity for you to progress your career.
