About the Role: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team in our Plymouth head office. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in managing project costs and ensuring financial accuracy. While this is primarily an office-based position, occasional travel to sites nationwide will be required, offering you a balance between office work and site visits. You'll also have the flexibility to manage your own diary and workload. Key Responsibilities: Take ownership of cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs). Develop comprehensive cost plans and project budgets. Manage subcontractor enquiries and procurement processes. Deliver accurate and timely cost reports to stakeholders. Contribute to the overall project efficiency and financial success. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in cost control, cost management, and cost reporting within the construction industry. Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate BOQs. Strong understanding of cost planning and project budgeting principles. Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail. First-class communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams. A relevant degree (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Solid understanding of contract documents and obligations.
