Full time Consunet is seeking a Project Support Officer to

work

across both our head office, Adelaide CBD and Edinburgh location

and hold a current Australian Defence Clearance (NV1 or NV2 preferrable). The Project Support Officer will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager in the administration of complex Defence projects with integrated multi-disciplinary teams to shape the future of Australia's sovereign defence capability. The role will include monitoring, coordinating, and controlling a project from start to finish. You will assist in the analysis of contract deliverables, and the coordination of all contract-required Project Office reporting and assurance activities. You will facilitate and provide support to the ongoing management of project cost models, project financial performance, and project risk registers and schedules. You will have exposure to the project needs and requirements within both traditional and agile project management methodologies. Essential Knowledge and Skills: Coordinate and support the delivery of project outcomes within evolving business, project and customer environments. Support the update and monitoring of project plans. Support in the ongoing maintenance of project finances and budgets. Update and monitor project schedules. Draft and prepare briefs, correspondence, and reports. Update and monitor project metrics. Support the Project Manager to coordinate priorities and resources across the project. Resolve challenges and take the initiative to identify alternative courses of action. Support the Project Manager in the coordination of the day-to-day tasking of project teams. Liaising with project subcontractors, ensuring inputs are received and tasks are completed to the required standard within the required timeframe. Need to work in a fluid environment by remaining flexible, agile and adaptable. Support the development of procurement and contract management related documentation. Support the management in ensuring the project team works effectively. Ensure compliance and assurance to the relevant requirements of the project, schedule, and risk management approach. Support the Project Administrator in the delivery of Project Administration support service when required. Communicate fluently, orally and in writing, to appropriately present information to the intended target audience. Contribute to the continuous improvement of organisational methods, processes, procedures, and standards. Maintain awareness of developing practices and their applicability to your role. Participate in reviews of own work and collaborate in reviews of work with others as appropriate. Desirable Knowledge and Skills: Relevant tertiary level education or a related field. Experience in the Government/Defence industry. Experience working within a complex Defence stakeholder environment. Experience working in a Research and Development environment. To be considered, candidates will have: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Hold a current Australian Defence Clearance (NV1 or NV2 preferrable).
