Job Summary:

A recognized technical specialist, the Project Technical Integrator (PTI) has responsibility for ensuring the design fulfills the complete range of applicable requirements for the multiple development projects & platforms within their scope. The PTI is responsible to ensure that the product design meets the Airline, Airframer, and Certification technical requirements including weight, reliability, and cost.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Lead the project Systems Engineering team to ensure a complete set of validated requirements and completion of all Validation & Verification activities. Use Systems Engineering processes to achieve the product design requirements in line with the project schedule objective. Perform gap analysis on the requirements data set to drive a complete product specification. Demonstrate compliance with the technical requirements of the projects & platform in their scope with supporting design & product verification evidence. Ensure the project engineering team maintains a clear understanding of the requirements for the product and platform across all engineering disciplines. Ensure use of Model Based Systems Engineering tools & methods to define the product and its functions. Support the engineering team to meet the “Right First Time” target based on the number of changes per drawn part. Define the requirements & compliance baseline for each major Project milestone. Review and constructively challenge the data from all engineering disciplines to ensure that they support the project technical objectives. Support the Project Chief Engineer with customer liaison and management of the customer's technical & performance expectations. Deliver trade studies when there are cases of conflicting requirements and propose the best overall solution for the project. Work closely with the Project Chief Engineer.

Job Requirements

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Systems, Electrical, Chemical, Software, or Computer Engineering. Desirable:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering development project team within Design, Stress, Manufacturing, or Certification Engineering. Essential:

Experience in managing and addressing requirements gaps and trade-offs directly with stakeholders and engineering management. Essential:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering requirements management, validation & verification (V&V). Desirable:

Experience with using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods to define operational, functional, and physical requirements. Desirable:

Experience in progressing DFMEA with a cross-functional development team.
