We are diverse team of over 100 colleagues delivering resident focused property solutions. We operate through a team of 50 surveyors each with a defined group of locations and each surveyor is responsible for between 30 and 40 locations. This is an exciting time to join us as we conclude procurement of 15-year, £1.7bn contracts. The 8 new contracts will provide a transformational approach to how we deliver services to our residents and realise efficiencies for Anchor. To equip Anchor with the skills and capacity to realise the benefits of these contracts we are recruiting to various new roles! The Role As a Surveyor at Anchor you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the delivery of property investment, service and inspection, and repairs services to a designated portfolio of properties (approximately 20-40 locations) and participating 1 week per year in the organisations on-call team. Working closely with housing or care operations teams, you will ensure the timely delivery of services, good maintenance of properties, and that you meet property strategy targets. Your responsibilities will include identifying and correcting building defects, managing project delivery, analysing property performance, identifying cost savings, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. You will: Work with operational colleagues and residents to ensure homes are safe secure, and well maintained. Lead and manage the delivery of property investment, service, and inspection, and repairs services to the designated portfolio of properties. Undertake regular inspections of the property condition. Ensure necessary repairs and planned works are delivered in the most cost-effective manner. Assess properties to review future investment and repair planning. About you It would be great if you had: HND / HNC or equivalent in Building or Construction (essential) Working towards MRICS or MCIOB status (desirable) A minimum 3 years experience of managing property activities in housing. Proven experience working within social housing maintenance and planned investment sector, Contractor Side and/or client side. Ability to interpret operational data to inform service delivery planning within the property portfolio. Experience of building pathology within a housing environment.
