This role will lead the development of Quilter Cheviot's Financial Planning proposition, including how the service fits with our Investment Management offerings to provide an comprehensive wealth management service for clients and advisers . Working with front office, distribution, and specialists from product, investments, and compliance, the role-holder will be responsible for maintaining current propositions and identifying new and evolutionary opportunities. New opportunities should be designed collaboratively with a key focus on client outcomes and executed with a 'disciplined delivery' mindset to drive value for clients, colleagues, advisers, and shareholders.

This role will own Quilter Cheviot's Financial Planning offering, including developing, maintaining, and ensuring the execution of a propositional roadmap linked to our commercial ambitions and client needs. This includes accountability for overseeing our Centralised Investment Proposition, including working with other group stakeholders and forums. To successfully own and evolve our comprehensive, multi-channel proposition, the role requires a leader who can bring strong technical knowledge, understanding of our current and future clients, the ability to monitor market trends/opportunities, as well as investment and/or advice proposition development experience.
Key areas include:
• Client Value Proposition - in line with Consumer Duty, conduct target market analysis, validation and review to ensure we continue to understand our relevant segments, their needs, and associated trends. Identify our ideal client proposition, define required developments ensure disciplined delivery for clients and shareholders. Working with an array of stakeholders, develop a clear, compelling articulation of our current and future proposition competitiveness.
• Adviser Value Propositions - collaboratively defining product, service, and pricing opportunities to drive the competitiveness of our offerings for advisers based on competitor analysis and market insight. Translate opportunities into business cases and delivery plans which result in commercial value and good client outcomes.
• Ensure the value, suitability, and longevity of our advice business's Core Investment Proposition, identifying and delivering areas for development whilst working across internal group companies and divisions. Monitoring and reporting trends to support proposition and commercial understanding, as well as the delivery of good customer outcomes.
• Representing our proposition needs at relevant governance forums.
• Strong engagement with regional teams to inform plans and development roadmaps ensuring clear understanding across the organisation on focus areas, progress, and risks.
• Training and development - feed into training needs for regional teams to drive best practise and proposition adoption.
• Owning propositional related literature and its associated content such as competitor reviews in collaboration with Marketing, ensuring timely and appropriate communication to the business and in particular, the adviser community.

- Deep technical knowledge of financial planning and investment management products, services, pricing, and value.
- Ideal candidate will advice qualifications and ideally front office experience. None of the above are essential if technical capability can be proven.
- Experience in financial services proposition roles, ideally wealth management/advice.
- You'll need strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability work effectively and build relationships with our senior leaders and regional offices. You'll be confident in delivering presentations, with advanced influencing and change management skills, being seen as a trusted partner with a true understanding of our clients, teams, products as well as business drivers and risks.
- You'll understand the importance and management information (MI), with the ability to find and articulate trends and solutions.
- You'll have had key subject matter expert roles in product development, demonstrating a credible track record of delivery.
- You'll need the ability to work across the division, able to learn new areas of the business, sector trends and best practice. You'll be a self-starter, able to work autonomously in building knowledge and keeping up to date with industry trends.
- You'll have experience of influencing decision makers as well as managing teams directly.
