Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Protection Technical Sourcing and Standards Engineer to join our Asset Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing protection and control technical standards, introducing innovative protection systems, and managing new technology for distribution assets. You will work closely with various departments, including marketing, IT, and customer service, to ensure the successful implementation of these systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement technical standards for protection and control equipment. Manage the introduction of new technology and conduct failure investigations. Collaborate with procurement and operational units to source and approve new protection equipment. Conduct site visits and assess manufacturers' compliance with our requirements. Provide training and support for new and existing equipment. Produce technical reports and contribute to regulatory submissions.

Qualifications:

Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent. Experience in electrical engineering up to 132kV. Understanding of power distribution protection systems and relevant communication protocols. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong communication and team-working skills.
