N/A Duties: Provide musical directorship for the Contemporary Service at RAF Lakenheath Chapel. Directorship is required at all rehearsals and services. Provide musical directorship for a minimum of 1 rehearsal and 1 worship service each week. Collaborate musical selections with the Chaplain and Contemporary Service Music Accompanist. Lead the praise team and congregation in worship and vocally lead them as required by the Chaplain. Assist the Chaplain or their designated representative in developing the following in regard to Music Director Programs as appropriate: annual calendar of events, Chapel tithes and offerings fund budget, appropriated fund budget, and core volunteer training requirements. Sing music from a religious music, ecclesiastical, or suitable type publication resource consistent with the nature of the Contemporary Service. Provide arranged, improved, and scored music as appropriate for compatibility with the type of worship service or other functions of the Chaplain’s program at which it was rendered. Provide Audio/Visual (A/V) lyrics (e.g. PowerPoint slides) for all services as required. Qualification/ Education: Have 2 or more years of post-secondary education in music (or related field), or equivalent years of related experience in a chapel/church setting. Be able to sing and vocally lead congregation in worship. Be able to sight read, arrange, improve, play, and score music. Must possess the ability to constructively work well with others in a multi-faith environment. Must be able to efficiently organize and manage diverse program elements.
