Prototype Stock Controller – Contract Overview Step into a pivotal role within a leading Prototype Engineering and Supply Chain Team! We are seeking a proactive Prototype Stock Controller who will support the seamless flow of parts required for early-phase prototype builds. Reporting to the Prototype Engineering Manager, you’ll be central to the management of part inventory, ensuring all materials are received, processed, and delivered to the build hall on time. This role goes beyond typical warehouse operations. Working within an agile team, you’ll have opportunities to introduce new warehousing innovations and take on additional responsibilities, including sourcing carry-over parts. Your contributions will drive the success of our prototype builds and support our team's broader goals. Key Responsibilities Take ownership of stock control processes, managing part delivery and inventory for vehicle builds. Maintain accurate inventory records for all prototype parts, ensuring efficient tracking and follow-up on internal requisitions. Create and pick vehicle kits in coordination with Build Engineering to meet daily build requirements. Collaborate closely with the wider logistics team to support team objectives, coordinating carry-over stock demands and ensuring timely delivery. Keep all tracking documentation up-to-date and handle goods receipt processes for incoming parts. Support the Technical Buyer with updates on deliveries, contributing to a smooth supply chain operation. Actively participate in maintaining a safe, tidy, and organized work environment by adhering to 5S principles. What We’re Looking For Experience : Solid background in manufacturing and warehousing, with experience in material planning and control preferred. Familiarity with SAP is beneficial. Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other IT systems; trained in 5S methodology. Attributes : Self-motivated and proactive, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform calmly under pressure. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships are essential.
