Prototype Stock / Material Controller Are you an experienced Stock Controller looking for a new opportunity to fine-tune and extend your skills? ASL Technical is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative with a keen interest in Material Control. Based on-site at the client facility in Surrey, the successful Stock Controller / Material Controller will be engaged on an ongoing PAYE contract basis. Key Responsibilities: Efficiently handle and organise incoming and outgoing goods. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are managed effectively. Assist in the control and tracking of materials within the warehouse. Collaborate with the Material Control team to support inventory management and order fulfilment. Ensure the warehouse is clean, safe, and organised. Operate warehouse equipment as necessary. Participate in regular stock counts and audits. Assist in the continuous improvement of warehouse processes. Monitor and replenish stock to ensure continuous material supply. Collaborate with quality assurance to inspect and approve incoming materials. Organise and label stockroom for efficient inventory retrieval. Prepare and maintain detailed inventory documentation. Manage vendor relationships and address quality or supply issues. Forecast stock requirements with production planning. Identify and manage obsolete inventory to minimize waste. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Respond to urgent stock needs and coordinate emergency responses. Generate regular inventory reports for management insights. Skills & Qualifications: Driver's license is essential for movement of parts between site facilities. Previous experience in a Stock Control or Warehouse environment. Previous experience in a Material Control position is highly desirable but not essential. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Willingness to learn Material Control processes and develop new skills. Successful candidates can expect to receive the following in addition to the advertised rate: Holiday and Bank Holiday pay.
