We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our healthcare team at HMP Lindholme, a Category C/D men's prison located near Hatfield Woodhouse, Doncaster. The site houses around 1000 male patients, and as the sole Psychiatrist for the site you would see on average 6-8 patients per day. Within this role you would be working closely with the full multidisciplinary team, including GPs and Psychologists. Suitable applicants will have a good working knowledge of the NICE safer prescribing guidance.
Hours
This role is 3 days a week, 8am-4pm. Applicants must be able to work Mondays and Tuesdays as well as one additional day between Wednesday-Friday. There may be an opportunity within the role to complete some of the administration work remotely.
Salary
This position is part-time, working 24 hours per week. You’ll receive an annual salary up to £182,778 per annum FTE - depending on experience.
How will we support you?
You will be part of a team of 15 plus experienced and supportive Consultant psychiatrists.
You will be able to attend monthly Consultant's meetings and 1:1 clinical supervision.
Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course.

What you'll be doing
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
Provide excellent clinical care, assessment, and treatment to patients on the case load onsite.
Actively participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service, lead the senior mental health clinicians on service developments, and provide clinical supervision.
Work within the multi-disciplinary team to review referrals, determine appropriate treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in multi-professional complex case reviews.
