You are invited to join a dynamic team with Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Services as a Psychologist. In this role you will deliver evidence-based clinical services, including assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic intervention, and evaluation, to consumers of the Cairns and Hinterland Mental Health and AODS service. About us:

The Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers a large geographic area with a diverse and growing population. The Health Service provides a wide range of primary care, acute and specialist services. Our staff are a part of the community we serve, and we strongly believe that health outcomes are enhanced by involving our community in the planning and evaluation of local health services. About your role: Using a biopsychosocial model conduct mental health assessments and assist consumers and families/ supports to develop a comprehensive individual recovery plan and facilitate the effective delivery, monitoring and evaluation of this plan. Work with families and communities to promote recovery and community inclusion and to access generic supports, opportunities, and resources. Develop and maintain collaborative work practices and relationships with other agencies (including non-government organisations), service providers and consumer and carer groups to ensure consumers have access to an integrated service system. Provide input into the development of evidence-based clinical policy and practice, service development, quality improvement activities, research and evaluation projects and the utilisation of mental health information systems related to service delivery, performance, and outcome measurements.
