Teaching Personnel is offering an excellent opportunity for a psychology graduate to pursue a career in education. This ambitious SEN school on the outskirts of Bristol is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA) to provide high-quality learning, care, and development. They value every child and strive to offer an all-encompassing education to help develop individuals both in and outside the classroom. Your main focus as a Teaching Assistant will be to support children 1:1 with an individual pupil and in small groups whilst under the direction of the class teacher. You will liaise with class teachers and other staff to provide high-quality and effective support.

A successful candidate will:

Be a graduate of Psychology or a relevant field (2:2). Aspire to work with SEN individuals. Be compassionate, patient, and committed to providing effective provision. Have experience working in a classroom environment (desirable but not essential). Possess good behavioral management skills. Be proactive and able to think on your feet.

The Role: Support every pupil, including children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Develop good rapport with students to enable effective support. Use expertise and knowledge to stimulate and interest students across all key stages. Provide equal education to ensure all pupils are challenged and progressing. Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality education. Help create a stimulating, high-energy learning environment.

This is a key opportunity to gain invaluable classroom experience working with a wide range of pupils. You will work alongside experienced teachers to develop your knowledge, skills, and overall understanding of educating children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
