Graduate Opportunity - Psychology - Aspiring Mental Health Worker - Trauma - Woking Are you a recent Psychology graduate with an interest in working with students who have a range of learning and behavioural needs? This is for a trauma-informed school, making it ideal if that aligns with your interests and aspirations. This is an ideal chance for an aspiring educational psychologist, youth justice worker, prison liaison officer, or behaviour mentor, among other career pathways. You can utilize this opportunity to gain quality, first-hand experience in a specialist school environment. You will work with students with SEMH needs, Autism, and those requiring support with personal care. The schools we partner with will be closely matched to your skills, interests, and career aspirations. These school settings support some of the most vulnerable children and young people in society and can be incredibly challenging environments at times. To make the most of these opportunities, you must have the right objectives and motivations to apply. With the right mindset, attitude, and career goals, these opportunities are the perfect first step in your career following graduation. Summary: Enabling students with a range of additional learning and behavioural needs to access the best education possible, setting them up with objectives for when they leave school. Working closely with art, occupational, and speech and language therapists to implement a holistic, restorative approach to learning and behaviour management. Positive reinforcement and confidence building. Working in a classroom setting and providing 1:1 support outside of the class. Fantastic CPD provided by teachers and tutors, ideal if you're planning on starting an MSc in the future. You will be working with like-minded Psychology Graduates, with similar objectives. Salary: Up to £100 per day, January 25 depending on availability, hours are 8:30 AM to 4:15 PM.
