Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable experience and kickstart your career? Veritas Education are on the lookout for a talented psychology graduate looking for a new role for a January start. If you are looking to gain experience supporting young people, experience with children with SEN and other core skills like casework and developing casework plans, then this could be a good fit for you.

A supportive and welcoming secondary school in Waltham Forest, East London are looking for graduate teaching assistants starting in January to support the staff and students. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop skills in the education sector, good hours, in a relaxed environment with great structure support offered by the staff. The school is flexible with an inclusive ethos which ensures there are consistently high expectations for all. They are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual who has experience working within a secondary environment.

This role is until the end of the academic year with the view to go on to a permanent placement in September.

Required:

A Bachelor's degree in Psychology Interest in working with children (specifically with SEN) Experience working with secondary school children (age 11-16) in some capacity Right to work in the UK Either have or be willing to get an enhanced DBS on the update service, plus provide two references

Responsibilities:

Working with children aged 11-16 operating classes in various subjects. Helping children with special educational needs Engaging with students for 4-5 periods Treating children with respect and kindness
