Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable experience and kickstart your career? Veritas Education is on the lookout for a talented psychology graduate for a January start. If you are eager to gain experience supporting young people, including those with SEN, and develop core skills like casework and creating casework plans, then this could be a good fit for you. A supportive and welcoming secondary school in Waltham Forest, East London, is seeking graduate teaching assistants starting in January to support the staff and students. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop skills in the education sector, with good hours in a relaxed environment and great support offered by the staff. The school promotes an inclusive ethos with consistently high expectations for all. They are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual with experience working in a secondary environment. This role is until the end of the academic year, with the view to transition into a permanent placement in September. Required: A Bachelor's degree in Psychology Interest in working with children (specifically with SEN) Experience working with secondary school children (ages 11-16) in some capacity Right to work in the UK Either have or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS on the update service and provide two references Responsibilities: Exact responsibilities will depend on the role but may include: Working with children aged 11-16 across various subjects. Assisting children with special educational needs. Engaging with students for 4-5 periods. Treating children with respect and kindness. APPLY NOW!
