Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Volunteer/Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the implementation of treatment plans designed to improve patients' mobility and overall physical function. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively in an acute care environment. Gain experience in: Assisting physical therapists in conducting patient assessments and developing treatment plans. Implementing therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the physical therapist. Monitoring patient progress and reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist. Educating patients and their families on treatment protocols, exercises, and home care strategies. Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
