We require a COSS (Controller of Site Safety) for various shifts in Oxted and Crowborough for a rail subcontractor undertaking tunnelling works.
The works are across various local locations on Sunday 2nd February with other works likely to come in on other weekends.
TO START - Sunday 07:00 to 19:00
Responsibilities:
The safety of their group, ensuring that all within the group follow the Network Rail Safety Guidelines outlined in the rule book. Leading from the front in performing all duties. Assisting in the planning of tasks. Working closely with the SSOW planner and following the Safe System of Work. Ensuring that the health and safety of all workers are signed onto the Safe System of Work Pack (SSOW pack). Completing all works to the highest levels of quality and escalating issues relating to the completion of work through the correct channels. Fully briefing all members of the work group on all aspects of the SSOW pack, ensuring they sign the SSOW pack following the brief. Following protocol for close calls. Ensuring the group is in full PPE when signing in at site. Paying a minimum of 10-12 hours - rate can be negotiable. No lodge.
