As a Public Health Principal lead, the Drug and Alcohol Strategic Commissioner is a senior manager post within the Integration & Healthy Population Team of the Health, Wellbeing & Prevention directorate, responsible for the strategic commissioning of drug and alcohol prevention, treatment and recovery services in Shropshire. In this influential role, you will lead on the delivery of the Substance Use Strategy, the Shropshire Community Safeguarding Partnership Tackling Drugs and Alcohol Partnership Action Plan, the development and maintenance of strategic and operational partnerships, commissioning and performance management of substance use services as well as developing key public health services and programmes around substance use.
