Are you an experienced PR professional looking to progress your career with a recognised brand in the professional services market? We’re looking for an experienced, resourceful, self-motivated PR Manager with a keen eye for detail and a passion for media and writing to join our growing Communications team. Reporting to the Head of PR and Digital Content, this role will work across the whole firm to continue to grow Crowe’s recognition and reputation in our desired markets; positioning our partners as thought leaders, building our brand profile and relationships with Tier 1 trade publications, national press, as well as regional press, while actively developing PR plans for the firm’s strategic sectors. Candidates will have an excellent PR and communication background and strong stakeholder management skills to successfully deliver our strategic communications priorities in line with the firm’s wider strategy. Three days in the office is required and travel across all national offices from time to time as needed. Responsibilities PR/Media relations PR planning and development for external national and regional media relations activities and campaigns, in line with the firm’s PR and Content Strategy, as well as strategic marketing and business plans. Active management of media relations for the firm, including identifying and reacting to press issues and opportunities, building the profile of Crowe and specialist knowledge of partners, drafting and reviewing press releases, and coordination across national and regional audiences. Attending and chairing national and regional PR briefings with internal stakeholders, advising on best practice and demonstrating knowledge of target press publications and broadcast media that target desired audiences in specific markets. Maintain press clippings and the media database. Monitor and report on the impact of PR campaigns and firm coverage. Day-to-day point of contact with external PR agencies, leading touch base meetings and generating ideas for comment and by-lined articles as well as maintaining positive and effective working relationships. Create effective relationships with journalists (Tier 1, Trade and Regional) Application of emerging trends to communications and PR content plans to help support marketing plan objectives, adding value to stakeholders. Monitor and apply PR protocol and policy in line with the BD and Marketing department’s priorities. Coordinate media training for partners and identify training needs to deliver high quality spokespeople. Manage the press centre on crowe.co.uk Editorial/Copywriting Proofreading, editing and drafting external and internal copy to a high standard (e.g. press releases, press commentary, newsletters, reports, awards, insights). Reformatting press releases in a web-friendly format for crowe.co.uk in line with digital communication and SEO principles, in a timely manner. Keep up to date with the latest news and trending topics, advising on and drafting topical content for use internally and externally. Championing and adhering to the firm’s writing style guide/tone of voice in all written content. Project management and reporting Monthly and quarterly performance reports to be presented to the Head of PR and Digital Content. Logging and monitoring opportunities vs coverage. Managing the press and communications inbox for opportunities and responding to all enquiries within service level agreement timeframes. Skills Excellent track record in communications, media planning and execution. Ability to work proactively and reactively. A strong team player with effective partnering skills. Highly organised with efficient time management and ability to work to strict deadlines. Excellent communicator at all levels, both verbally and in writing. Ability to lead meetings with stakeholders and peers effectively with clear outputs that in turn are delivered accurately and to deadline. Highly developed interpersonal skills to add value when feeding back to senior stakeholders. Able to accurately obtain and convert technical content into compelling copy. Works well in a team and on their own, with the ability to manage and prioritise own workload. Excellent accuracy and attention to detail. Strong reporting, analytical and presentation skills. Strong knowledge and application of the full Microsoft office suite. Compelling approach when liaising with stakeholders internally, journalists and agencies. Qualifications Degree level education in communications or Public Relations. Previous professional services experience (desirable). Why choose Crowe?
