ASAP We are seeking a qualified Lecturer in Public Services to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in sports education and protective services, ready to start immediately to cover a vacancy. Day-to-day of the role:
Deliver engaging and informative lessons in BTEC Sport and Public Services. Prepare lesson plans and materials based on the curriculum guidelines. Assess and evaluate students’ progress through both formal and informal assessments. Participate in and organise residentials and overnight stays to deliver units such as Outdoor Activities. Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, assessments, and progress. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and curriculum offerings. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Must be a qualified teacher with one of the following: PGCE, QTS, or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training. Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in BTEC Sport and Public Services. Industry experience in Sport. Understanding and experience of quality processes in relation to sampling, internal verification, etc. IQA qualifications and Assessors Award. Experience in organising and managing residentials and overnight educational activities. Desirable:
Experience working in a Further Education (FE) College setting. Experience working in an educational establishment. Benefits:
