We have a fantastic opportunity for a Data and Infrastructure Officer to join our Public Transport Team. You will be part of a busy and friendly team responsible for co-ordinating activities associated with the tendered bus network and the information and infrastructure across the County, promoting and developing a high-quality local bus network. About us

Our team sits within the Communities Directorate as part of Transport Services. We are a small but dedicated team responsible for producing high-quality information relating to bus services, reacting to timetable changes on the commercial bus network. The wider team manages bus contracts, bus pass issuing, and roadworks impacting bus services, assisting across all disciplines during busy periods or absence. We strive for the best outcomes for residents and are often in contact with the public regarding the bus network. We also have the Schools’ Sustainable Travel Team promoting non-car use to school, working alongside our team to develop service offerings. Buckinghamshire Council combines the strengths of five previous councils to create positive change for local people, focusing on the future and better serving residents. About the role

The main responsibilities include managing data flow from operators regarding bus service timetable changes, checking and exporting that information into national databases and internal systems. Training on relevant software packages will be provided, and there are opportunities for progression and development. This role offers the chance to contribute to the quality of roadside information and the management of real-time passenger displays.
