Job title: Publicity Assistant, Adult Trade Reports to: Publicity Director Location: 5th Floor, HYLO,105 Bunhill Row, London, EC1Y 8LZ Working pattern: Hybrid-minimum of two days per week in the office; up to three days per week working from home Department : Publicity Salary : £27,000 Per annum General Summary Bonnier Books UK is looking for an enthusiastic and diligent assistant to join the publicity department, supporting the adult PR team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone serious about getting their start in Publicity and hoping to work across a broad range of titles and genres. In this role, being an enthusiastic self-starter is key. You will be responsible for a lot of rolling admin and logistics to support the team. You will be well supported by your line manager and other colleagues, but attention to detail, excellent communication and problem-solving are essential. A team player who is excited to try lots of new things will be best suited to this role. As well as rolling tasks, each day will play out differently and could include completing last-minute mailings, prepping materials for meetings and attending events with authors. With lots going on at any given time, good time management and prioritisation is vital. Building great relationships with team members, knowing how to set yourself deadlines and when to push back is important. A passion for books, media and digital spheres is crucial. The role offers progression to exciting campaign work as workload allows and offers excellent collaborative opportunities with a range of award-winning and experienced publicists. Core responsibilities: Helps manage the team’s day-to-day admin tasks including invoices, budget sheets, calendars and more Manages general enquiries to the department as the team’s first point of call, via phone and email, so that all communication is efficient and given in a timely manner Collating group pitches to journalists and festival/event programmers Supports the team and authors with logistics including travel arrangements and materials for meetings and presentations Helps to organise and attend events, launches and festivals Logs and circulates press coverage and PR reports Regularly updates media and events contacts Supporting on publicity campaigns as required (pitching, press releases, booking travel etc). Manages award and media submissions where necessary Minuting team meetings and circulating notes Collaborates with the teams on digital and social media initiatives Manages and maintains external databases and tools, such as Roxhill, Cision and Netgalley Further collaborative and solo campaign work as the role develops What does success in this role look like?
