Pupil Wellbeing and Operational Attendance Manager

from January 2025. This post is temporary to cover maternity leave and will end upon the return of the current postholder. Closing date: Thursday 5th December 2024 at 1.00pm. Can you: Work as part of a wider school Wellbeing Team to provide effective pastoral support for our children and families? Work effectively with Education Welfare and other external agencies to achieve and sustain a positive approach to school attendance for our children? Champion school attendance and punctuality across the whole of our school community? Work diligently and effectively, keeping accurate records and tracking of pupil and whole school attendance in line with DFE requirements? We welcome applications from interested candidates who are passionate about making a difference for our children. Please outline your skills, qualifications, and experience in line with the job description as well as your views of how you can fulfill the qualities listed above. This post requires excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. In addition, the post holder will need to be self-motivated and have the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team. You will work with our teaching team, promoting pupil independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion. You will assist pupils so they can access the curriculum, participate in learning, and experience a sense of achievement. You will also provide supervision and/or activities during the school lunch break. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) enhanced Disclosure Certificate.
