Full-time (100% office based for 3 months with a view to hybrid work) Join a prestigious company operating across the UK. As an Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our accounting standards and supervising the accounts payable team to ensure efficiency and compliance with our financial policies. Day-to-day of the role:

Supervise and mentor a team of accounts payable clerks, providing necessary guidance, training, and support to enhance their skills and performance. Oversee the closing of accounts payable ledgers timely and assist with the posting of month-end information. Ensure the timely processing of payments for company invoices, including daily transactions and employee expenses. Conduct monthly supplier statement reconciliations and maintain accurate records. Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines. Provide leadership and support to the accounts payable team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Assist with auditing tasks and the preparation of financial reports to support the wider accounting function. Regularly report on accounts payable performance metrics and provide analysis to aid decision-making processes. Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies to uphold financial integrity. Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in an accounts payable leadership role, preferably within a large, complex organisation. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan, assign tasks, and meet deadlines. Strong team development and problem-solving skills. Customer service orientation with a focus on building professional relationships. Proficiency in financial software and systems relevant to accounts payable management. Benefits:
