Purchasing Administrator Required!

Our client is a supplier of hydraulic and pneumatic hose and connectors for OEMs, while also offering a range of services including the repair, replacement, and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit an experienced Purchasing Administrator to join a small team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, processing orders, and ensuring smooth stock management. This role is crucial to maintaining their supply chain efficiency and supporting the company's growth.

This is a full-time position, fully office based, working 8:30am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

Benefits:

Purchasing Administrator - Responsibilities:

Liaise with suppliers and trade counters to meet stock needs Input and process orders, including price checks and updating systems Book in stock and resolve any discrepancies Manage the purchasing pipeline Investigate and resolve price-related invoice queries Handle general office duties, including answering calls Negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery with suppliers Review and consolidate the supplier base to create an approved supplier list Oversee supplier audits to ensure quality, delivery, service, and cost targets are met Improve supply chain management practices Recommend actions to clear obsolete inventory

Purchasing Administrator - Requirements:

3 years' experience in a similar position Solid communication skills - written & verbal Ability to multitask & prioritise workload Use of Microsoft packages & CRM software Knowledge of supplier audits and inventory management practices is advantageous
