Purchasing Manager

at OxTS you would play a pivotal role in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods, materials, and services to meet operational requirements while balancing cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity. The role also involves leading the Purchasing team, managing supplier relationships, and driving process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Purchasing and Stock Management:

Procure high-value electronic components and materials, aligning with forecasts and production needs.Monitor stock levels, expedite orders, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Supplier Management:

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, managing performance and negotiating terms.Address supply chain risks, ensuring quality and reliability of supply. Team Management and Strategy:

Lead and mentor the Purchasing team, aligning objectives with company strategy.Develop and implement purchasing strategies and monitor KPIs for continuous improvement. General Duties:

Provide purchasing support across departments and maintain compliant, effective processes.Stay informed on industry advancements, manage ERP data, and support cost-reduction initiatives. Essential Expertise Purchasing of Electronics:

Proven experience sourcing electronic components in an engineering or manufacturing setting. Purchasing and Stock Management:

Skilled in managing complex procurement, stock levels, and forecasting. Supplier Management:

Proficient in building relationships, performance management, and negotiations. Forecasting:

Aligns procurement with medium- and long-term forecasts. New Product Development:

Supports R&D through part selection and procurement. Strategy:

Develops and implements purchasing strategies, setting KPIs for improvement. Desirable Expertise Professional Qualifications:

CIPS qualification would be desirable. Quality Standards:

Knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO17025. Key Behaviours Strategic Thinking:

Develops purchasing strategies and anticipates industry trends. Attention to Detail:
