Job Description Your role as Purchasing Manager - Marketing Develop and implement a robust procurement strategy for marketing-related services, including advertising, digital marketing, creative agencies, print, media buying, PR, promotional materials, and more. Maintain a marketing supplier map articulating functional needs (division, external comms, digital, group marketing, customer) and how they are serviced and accessed, building a common, efficient approach across GK. Lead end-to-end procurement processes to successful, right first-time conclusion, including competitive tendering, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance review. Embed and robustly enforce clear processes and governance that outline how marketing services are accessed (gate process). Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring we take learnings and innovation from external thinking, e.g., application of AI in marketing while optimising the supplier network. Manage supplier performance through KPIs, regular reviews of both GK & supplier SLA adherence, and contract management. Ensure that GK briefs are clear and that deliverables meet brand standards, quality expectations, and deadlines. Collaborate with marketing and finance teams to track, manage, and forecast marketing procurement spend across all brands, identifying opportunities for cost savings. Drive cost optimisation and identify opportunities to consolidate supplier networks and drive efficiencies while maintaining quality. Manage contracts and agreements to ensure clear terms on pricing, deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities; identify potential risks in the supplier network and take proactive measures to mitigate them. Drive ESG principles through all marketing suppliers, building an ethical and transparent supply chain. What you’ll bring… Category management experience. Strategic supplier sourcing experience.
