Manage the entire purchasing department, identifying employee skills gaps and providing relevant advice and training where needed Negotiate and influence suppliers to achieve the best market rates for specified products Develop current inventory management strategies to improve stock accuracies Monitor ongoing product failure rates and negotiate resolutions with suppliers Hold accountability for product cost, quality, reliability, and delivery Skills & Qualifications
CIPS (level 4 minimum) or equivalent in Supply Chain or Purchasing Proven experience in a managerial supply chain or buyer’s role Experience purchasing plant hire or hydraulic/electrical/pneumatic machinery Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills Proven experience hitting/exceeding team/personal KPI targets About Express Recruitment
