Your key responsibilities will include:Developing the organisation's purchasing strategyReviewing stock profiles and introducing new or improved methods of inventory controlMonitoring and forecasting inventory trendsLiaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments, and customersNetworking with the supply chain to maximise pricing strategies and agreementsEnsuring on-time delivery from suppliers and monitoring supply chain performanceManaging inventory, including storage, locations, transactions, and bills of materialsImplementing and maintaining a perpetual stock take programmeCompleting transactions in accordance with proceduresMaintaining agreed inventory levels and recommending adjustmentsEssential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):To be successful in this role, you should have:CIPS qualification or a demonstration of experience within the procurement fieldIdeally, a background in engineering with a service and manufacturing profileAbility to inspire confidence in customers and suppliersCommercial ability to maximise financial returnsHigh level of competency in the use of IT systemsUnderstanding of stock management systems and financial controlsDesirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):In addition to the essential requirements, the following qualifications and experience would be beneficial:Experience working in a similar purchasing roleKnowledge of engineering components and their supply chainsFamiliarity with procurement software and systemsHow to Apply:If you are a motivated and skilled Purchasing Manager looking for a new challenge with an innovative and forward-thinking organisation, we would love to hear from you.
