Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers Research supplier and product and identify potential suppliers based on project requirements Negotiate contracts, terms and deadlines with vendors and suppliers Monitor and update relevant departments regarding price fluctuations of goods and vendor pricing Manage an efficient flow of goods to ensure optimum production Maintain supplier database, product specification sheet, buying template, stock master preparation and update tracker Review balance orders, study averages and price comparison - imports Work closely with the accounts department to ensure contract terms are favourable to the company Attend meetings with the design team, management, vendors and suppliers Manage, coach and develop high performing purchasing and cost estimating teams that meet agreed objectives and which deliver best practice results, added value and continuous improvements Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports Catalogue and supplier artwork checks Desired Experience & Qualifications

Extensive experience working in the procurement department in a related field Relevant qualification will be an advantage Working knowledge of the industry and market conditions Strong understanding of imports and negotiation techniques Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
