In this position you will be responsible for ensuring that we have a thorough understanding of design requirements and from that knowledge identify the controls needed to confirm that we can accurately check assemblies to the correct specification. You will use your previous experience and expertise to confirm that our assemblies are inspected to the right standard and agreed delivery deadlines without ever compromising on Quality. Their goal is that every inspection process must bring added value to the business.

Responsibilities: Collaborate with Design and Production Engineering on new parts to ensure previous quality issues are understood to enable improved part accuracy and consistency. Work with Design and Production Engineering to confirm that design specification clearly and completely describes the design intent and ensure that controls, aligned to the manufacturing process, are in place to confirm product conformance. Working with Production Engineering to ensure all Quality Assurance processes are aligned to design intent to ensure components are validated correctly. Supporting the Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Jig Management teams to help validate and confirm inspection techniques/standards, ensuring robust process and procedures are created. Work closely with Jig Management and Quality Assurance teams to ensure inspection projects have been created ahead of time and to the required standard. Support the Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Jig Management team to ensure all staff have the right process and skills to be able to undertake the required measurement tasks.

Requirements: The successful candidate will most importantly have a passion for achieving Quality products and the ability to motivate others within the business and the wider Supply Chain to deliver to a constantly exceptional level. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of design specifications and have experience within a high precision and high-pressured manufacturing environment, preferably the Motorsport Industry.

In addition, you should have an understanding of Quality Tools like Problem solving, FMEA's and MSA, ideally with a proven track record of using these skills to develop and improve manufacturing processes to reduce risk.
