Role/Responsibilities:
Join our elite team of engineers, including software developers, data engineers, and quality assurance engineers. We are seeking a Data QA Engineer who is intelligent, curious, self-driven, passionate, and efficient. The ideal candidate will have experience in applying quality assurance concepts and leading quality control efforts using an automated testing-first approach on complex, data-driven, ETL-based software applications. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who can work independently and drive the future vision of our testing strategy. Focus on building automated testing and documenting test cases to ensure data pipelines are ready to ship using UI testing, API testing, performance testing, and accessibility testing. Create and execute test cases against requirements, providing valuable input throughout the entire product lifecycle. Engage in direct communication with production teams and other stakeholders, including external customers and sponsors, to ensure seamless collaboration. Oversee the defect resolution process and make sure the correct team members handle the issues. Perform compatibility testing on development, release, and production servers to ensure smooth transitions and high-quality releases with detailed testing reports. Collaborate closely with the team to enhance practices and approaches to building applications, driving continuous improvement and innovation. Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in automated testing for data pipelines. Familiarity with Xray in JIRA with Cucumber is a plus. Proficiency in Java, functional experience with querying databases such as SQL and Elasticsearch (expert-level knowledge not required), and functional experience with Selenium and Postman. Experience with ETL tools like Talend, Spark, and Pentaho to understand the full picture. Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Git-lfs, Docker, and Jenkins.
