QC Analyst
NES Fircroft are working with a well-renowned crop protection solutions company who are looking for a QC Analyst to join their team in Grangemouth.
Purpose
To perform quality control analysis of effluent samples, occupational hygiene samples and environmental samples. Support the manufacturing plants, providing an analytical service and troubleshooting any equipment issues. Analyse, check and determine if product quality conforms to predetermined manufacturing specifications. Ensure that all analytical equipment is calibrated and maintained in accordance with the departmental quality systems. Monitor the performance of analytical equipment and perform equipment maintenance. Perform additional QC testing as required, including in process, final and experimental analysis. Involvement in departmental continuous improvement projects.
Skills: Analytical expertise in a range of techniques. Communicate effectively to all levels within the organisation. Plan and organise effectively, own workload. Workload will vary with production needs, ability to prioritise and operate effectively under pressure.
Experience required for the job: Technically proficient with experience in G.C, L.C operations. Operational experience of Agilent instrumentation. Experience in GC, LC maintenance and troubleshooting. Desirable - Occupational hygiene monitoring and environmental monitoring (swabbing, effluent analysis, MCerts knowledge, vent monitoring).
Education: At least an HNC or equivalent in a science/engineering related discipline.
