We're recruiting on behalf of an established energy business in Great Yarmouth who are looking for an experienced QHSE Advisor to join their team on a 6-month fixed term basis, based in Great Yarmouth.

As a QHSE Advisor, you'll be responsible for implementing and monitoring key HSE elements to ensure compliance with the company's policies and procedures. You'll be offering expert advice and support to all departments to ensure the company fulfills its HSE obligations and promotes a positive health, safety, and security focused culture.

Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain an effective dialogue with all departments, particularly operational departments to ensure close HSE support and ensure HSE is an integral part of company culture, projects, and operations delivery. Support operations with preparation of HSE plans and coordination of COSHH, Risk and Manual Handling assessments. Research and preparation of security assessments for management decision making process and travellers as a Global Travel, Safety & Security Advisor. Take a proactive stance to opportunities which lead to a clear improvement to safety and environmental performance across all elements of the company. Monitoring internal SSOW including compliance to measure controlling hazardous substances, workplace and work equipment safety, manual handling/testing operations, personal protective equipment, noise, and vibrations issues. Conduct regular area safety inspections and monitoring of operational practices and report findings and recommendations. Deliver contractor site visit inductions after review of contractor method statements and risk assessments and verification once on site. Conduct internal and external audits.

Requirements for the role Previous experience within a similar role. Ideally some experience within the Oil and gas industry. NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent. Previous internal auditing experience.
