The School of Business and Management QMUL invites applications for fully funded PhD Studentships commencing October 2025.

The studentships are for applicants wishing to undertake a PhD in the School of Business and Management. We welcome applications from suitably qualified candidates in the following subject areas:

Equality and Diversity

Human Resource Management

The research proposals submitted by applicants should normally fit at least one of the School’s five departments:

Business Analytics and Applied Economics

Business and Society

Marketing

People and Organisations

Candidates must specify which department they wish to join and identify potential supervisor(s) on their application form. Candidates are encouraged to discuss their research proposal with a member of academic staff specialising in their research area.

The Studentship

The studentships cover all tuition fees and provide a grant for living expenses at UK Research Council rates for London (c. £21,237 p.a. full-time, £10,613 part-time, 2024/25 rate). Awards are made for the full duration of the period of fee liability for the agreed course. Please note that these awards cannot be deferred. As part of your award, you will be able to access additional funding to help cover some of the costs of training, fieldwork, travel and more.
