We are looking for:

A Qualifications and Materials Engineer to develop and lead test programs for the qualification or screening of composite materials such as prepregs used in aerospace and other similar industries. This position is part of our EMEA Materials and Testing Engineering team within the Composite Materials Business unit.

Efficient management of projects, negotiating project plans and scheduling work Interpreting technical documents and recommend qualification strategies in compliance with material specifications, test methods and corporate standards Organising detailed test plans for physical, chemical and mechanical property characterisation Scrutinising unexpected results to eliminate errors and recommend improvements to methodologies where necessary Accurate documentation and statistical analysis of test results to produce technical reports of a high standard suitable for issuing to customers Clear communication with customers and suppliers at a technical level, developing a relationship required to negotiate test programs Developing close, interactive and collaborative relationships with Manufacturing, Quality, Customer Engineering, Research & Innovation and Sales Adherence to management of change procedures through close collaboration with site and global quality You can count on us for: Being part of a dynamic team at the core of our company A full range of benefits as expected of a successful company Opportunities for growth and development Encouraging a diverse and inclusive workplace culture that values and respects individual differences and backgrounds You will bring: A degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science or similar High standards with respect to quality A high level of self-motivation and 'get it done' attitude An ability to communicate effectively at different levels within internal and customer organisations An ability to take initiative in solving complex technical and process problems An organised approach to work and the capability to manage projects An intermediate understanding of materials relevant to composites, eg fibres, resins A basic understanding of composite material processing and part manufacturing An understanding of analytical, physical, and mechanical test methods An understanding of statistical analysis A willingness to take on additional responsibility as required You will get: Competitive salary and benefits package 16 weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave Training platform for all employees Free language courses (24 languages available) Free well-being sessions (physical and psychological) Additional Information: Some travel may be expected, mainly within UK and Europe. #J-18808-Ljbffr
