The curriculum lead is the leader of the teaching team, overseeing all aspects of curriculum, practices and education. The role of the curriculum lead is to work closely with the business manager to ensure a high-quality curriculum is provided for every child within the centre. The curriculum lead also supports and leads the teaching team to ensure a well-planned educational and developmental journey for every child using Te Whāriki as the base. The curriculum lead role consists of 4 days in the classroom environment supporting routines, rituals, practices and team dynamics, and 1 day in the office with a focus on PGC, evaluation, planning and assessment. Supporting the centre business manager in the Main Objectives. The main objectives: Responsible for the effective leadership and management of personnel employed at the centre Ensure the strategic, operational and financial objectives of the Centre are met Ensure a high-quality educational programme is delivered Develop and implement the Centre strategic plan Support and implement the centre annual plans Build strong, collaborative relationships with centre families/whānau, children and staff Responsible for day-to-day positive interactions with all personnel in the Centre Review, adhere to and implement all policies, procedures and regulations as outlined in the centre Operations Manual and employee handbook Actively support and implement the Centre Philosophy A future thinker, innovative experienced Kaiako, with clear communication who can build and maintain caring, responsive and reciprocal partnerships. Leadership skills are required and willingness to upskill. What can we offer you?
