Qualified Dispensing Optician – Aylesbury This well-established Opticians are looking for an experienced Qualified Dispensing Optician to join their close-knit team. You will be joining a large successful practice on the high street in Aylesbury where you will be well supported by a big team who all work together. Working within this large, modern equipped store and well supported team, you will be able to demonstrate first and foremost excellent customer service as well as a high level of sales ability. Salary – Up to £32,000 A competitive bonus scheme 5 weeks holiday 5 test rooms Progression opportunities to become a store trainer, Contact Lens Optician or become much more invested in the business side of things. Responsibilities of the Qualified Dispensing Optician The role will primarily involve you being a senior member of the team on the shop floor in the dispensing team, you will also be conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. The role is also negotiable to involve a training aspect of the role (depending on experience); supporting the team, offering training and development and helping your colleagues with any issues or areas of difficulty. This person is also required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on best options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice. Requirements of the Qualified Dispensing Optician You must be GOC registered and up to date with CET points. You will be a friendly, yet professional person who is able to work with and support a team, whilst also create relationships and work as part of a team. You will have previous optical experience and be competent in all dispensing as well as having a wide range of frames and lens knowledge. You will handle the majority of children’s and complex dispensing and you will use your expertise and clinical experience to troubleshoot and deal with any issues as they arise. Compensation for the Qualified Dispensing Optician A competitive salary package dependent on your experience, up to £32,000 is on offer along with a bonus scheme.
