Due to expansion, we are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic qualified or trainee Dental Nurse to join our lovely Galashiels team in the heart of the Scottish Borders. We aim to support our Dental Nurses to enhance their careers by encouraging in-house training to include the use of our trios’ scanners, Implants, Chrome, Oral surgery and many other innovative treatments. The support given by experienced dental nurses within the practice and other Infinityblu sites is invaluable to provide opportunities and career pathways for you to develop and enhance your skills through training.

Qualified or Trainee Dental Nurse (Training will be provided and qualification supported)
The Job Role:
Provide chairside assistance, ensuring that the correct equipment is available.
Keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate according to the practice’s health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturers' instructions.
Use our mouth scanner to ensure our patients are given the best experience and record these in patient notes.
Prepare the necessary materials and instruments.
Meet and greet patients with a friendly and professional manner.
Accurately complete patient clinical records as directed.
Continually interpret the needs of the patients and dentist and deal with them promptly and efficiently.
Take all reasonable methods to ensure patient comfort.
Follow all practice policies and procedures.
Observe patient confidentiality at all times.
Ensure adequate stocks of materials and other items within the surgery.
Liaise with reception to ensure smooth patient communications and transfer of records.
Attend and participate in practice meetings.
Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice – Reception cover when required.
Undergo training as may be required to develop your skills and abilities.
Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR decontamination and radiology.
Act in accordance with the practice rules and code of conduct.
Work at other practice locations from time to time as required.
Maintain GDC registration.
To maintain and increase competence in nursing skills by actively following a programme of continuing professional development.
