Qualified Senior Social Worker, St Helens Council, Children's Assessment Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team. The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager. Responsibilities
Service carries CIN, CP and Children we Look After including Court Proceedings - private and public. Team is mixed in terms of experience and caseloads are allocated to reflect this. Manage CIN, CPP, CLA, Court Proceedings, Assessments, working within a team but also being able to work independently. Caseload varies but is around 20 - 24 children. Currently all staff are working from home due to Covid-19; however, when in the office, they would be within a team of 5 social workers, Advanced Practitioner and Manager. The current working arrangements are supported by appropriate technology which allows video calls and the Managers are ensuring daily meetings with the team. 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation). 3 month Temporary Contract. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance. Benefits
