JOB-20241107-791d94d2 Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Qualified Social Worker within the Adult Mental Health Team to work full time based in Harrow.

The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £40,233 per annum.

Main duties: To work in a strength-based way with adults and their families and carers, including those who are terminally ill. This includes working with multi-disciplinary colleagues, providing advice and information, working with community supports and liaison with other agencies, seeking the help of other professionals as necessary. To have person centred conversations with people and carers in a timely way evaluating the level of risk and an evidence-based analysis of need whilst promoting independence in accordance with agreed criteria and divisional policies. To assess for and provide equipment and minor adaptations to promote independence, and to monitor these as necessary, seeking advice where appropriate. To maintain and take responsibility for effectively managing a personal caseload including complex cases in consultation with the Team Manager. To work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team liaising with other professionals including health and the voluntary sector ensuring that there is the fullest co-operation with other team members, to provide an easily accessible service geared to meeting people’s needs. To prepare and present reports in a clear and concise and logical way and to a high standard, which contribute to multi-agency and multiple disciplinary conferences and meetings and court hearing and attend these forums. To ensure compliance with your responsibilities as laid out in the council’s health and safety policy and take an active role in promoting a positive health and safety culture. To work with complex cases (in terms of legal literacy, and professional judgements and cases which are multi-faceted, unpredictable and which carry the highest risks) and model best practice, critically reflective practice, and the effective use of power. To undertake any other duties that may be required commensurate with the general level of responsibility of the post. Requirements of this Social Worker job: Social work qualification with registration with Social Work England. Experience in managing social work caseloads and supervising others. Experience of community and/or group work. Knowledge of children’s health and social care systems, agencies, and relevant legislation.
