Myn is recruiting on behalf of our long-term client, Halton Borough Council, for a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join their Duty and Assessment Team. The Role

As a Social Worker in the Duty and Assessment Team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families. You’ll respond swiftly to referrals, assess needs and risks, and provide tailored interventions that truly change lives.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct initial assessments to identify risks and needs. Manage a diverse caseload of children and families requiring support. Collaborate with multi-agency professionals to safeguard children effectively. Undertake home visits, build trust with families, and implement meaningful interventions. Produce high-quality reports and assessments for management and court purposes. Act promptly on referrals, ensuring timely and effective responses to all cases.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

Degree or Diploma in Social Work with Social Work England registration. Experience:

Proven track record in a Duty and Assessment Team or similar front-line role. Skills:

Strong knowledge of child protection and safeguarding, with the ability to manage complex caseloads. Attributes:

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Additional Requirements:

A full driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.
