Are you a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of looked after children? Look no further! Our client, a not-for-profit organisation, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Looked After Children Team within the LAC Service.

As a Qualified Social Worker in our Looked After Children Team, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential support and guidance to children in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and long-term stability. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will work to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

Responsibilities:

Undertake assessments and develop care plans for looked after children, tailored to their individual needs and circumstances. Provide direct support and intervention to children and young people in care, promoting their emotional, educational, and social development. Collaborate closely with foster carers, adoptive families, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children in care. Advocate for the rights and needs of looked after children, ensuring their voices are heard and their views are taken into account in decision-making processes. Monitor and review the progress of looked after children, identifying any areas for additional support or intervention. Participate in court work when necessary. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, complying with relevant legislation and organizational policies.

Requirements: Qualified Social Worker with relevant degree or diploma in social work. Registered with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g., Social Work England). Experience working with looked after children and/or similar services. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to children in care.
