Lead the current compliance team ensuring that all tasks are completed within set deadlines and developing knowledge and skills of the team. Monitor progress of these tasks and support/mentor the team as and when required to meet targets. Represent SVG on Trade Associations and BSI committees. Ensure correct systems are in place to meet legal requirements of the various worldwide markets where our goods are sold. Support departments across the company in providing information regarding existing and forthcoming directives or regulations and their updates. Provide up-to-date advice to the Buyers and the wider QA team on compliance of products to BSEN/Worldwide standards. Knowledge of Right to repair & circular economy. Knowledge of European recycling standards and repairability/durability index would be advantageous. Take responsibility for signing off products to meet the regulated compliance requirements. Support the Quality team with the latest test requirements and processes from within compliance standards. Compile product technical files through to completion in accordance with national regulations for the countries where goods are placed on the market. Communicate with suppliers to request test certification and reports in order to complete full product technical files. Communicate and advise our sourcing team on certification requirements for our products. Take responsibility for the company’s Ethical compliance with knowledge of the Ethical Audit Process including experience with using SEDEX or equivalent auditing body. Solid people management and coaching experience. A degree/HND in a related field with demonstrable experience. Experience of maintaining product technical files to comply with CE & UKCA marking directives. Experience in dealing with the OPSS, CCPC and European/worldwide authorities. Good knowledge of the UKCA & CE marking directives and other relevant worldwide product legislation. A strong track record with regulatory and quality assurance. Team player who is comfortable working as part of a small close-knit team. Good reporting and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Able to work under pressure, working to deadlines and targets using time management. Good communication skills via email and telephone.
