Quality Assurance Manager Location : Lurgan, Northern Ireland Are you a dedicated professional with a passion for ensuring top-quality standards in the food industry? We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join a leading food business in Northern Ireland. Role Overview: As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a pivotal role within our technical team. Reporting directly to the Technical Manager, you will be engaged in various aspects of Quality, Technical, and Food Safety to ensure our products meet and exceed customer expectations while maintaining stringent food safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and uphold the Quality Manual and systems in line with BRC standards. Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers to address quality and food safety issues. Oversee compliance with supplier approval criteria and liaise with the supply base. Supervise and manage QA and Hygiene staff, ensuring all records are accurately completed and filed. Collaborate with Production Managers and Supervisors to ensure production activities meet required standards. Work with the Management Team to manage technical audits and ensure effective implementation. Deputise for the Technical Manager when required and actively participate in quality improvement initiatives. Play a key role in the HACCP team, including updating risk assessments and product flows. Collect and analyze microbiological samples and manage the equipment calibration schedule. Address and resolve day-to-day quality issues and customer complaints promptly. Ensure all corrective actions are implemented and monitored effectively. Requirements: A clean UK/EU driving license. Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a Quality or Technical role within the food industry. A degree or HNC/D in a relevant food-related discipline. Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan effectively and meet deadlines. Proficient IT skills, with the ability to record and present information clearly. Ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic team environment. Excellent communication skills with positive leadership abilities.
