Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the quality assurance processes within our organisation to ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality and food safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of quality assurance methodologies, including HACCP principles. Maintaining quality assurance system for SALSA accreditation and to meet UK food Safety Legislation. There will be a full training program over a 4-month period given on site.

Quality Assurance Manager Duties:

Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards. Ensure allergen controls are in place. Ensure labelling and product specifications are up to date and accurate. Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes to identify areas for improvement. Analyse data from quality tests and inspections to identify trends and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance with required standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement solutions. Train and mentor staff on quality assurance practices and procedures. Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities, including reports on inspections, audits, and corrective actions taken. Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to quality assurance.

Experience: Proven experience in a Quality Assurance role, preferably within a manufacturing or food production environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively. Familiarity with HACCP level 3 principles and their application in quality management. Food Hygiene Level 2/3. Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also managing individual responsibilities. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information across various levels of the organisation. Good PC skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
