We have a proven track record in supplying a diverse customer base including Restaurant Groups, Airlines, Cruise Ships, High Street & Catering Butchers, UK Multiples and Online Businesses. We are expanding our team and are looking for a QA Operative to join our Production team. As a QA Operative you will be responsible for daily quality assurance checks of products and processes, ensuring the quality and compliance of incoming raw materials. What We Offer:

Promote the Company’s strategy and agenda in a positive and enthusiastic manner both internally and externally. Provide ‘hands-on’ day to day quality leadership in the factory. Be the principal point of contact between technical manager and the factory floor. Responsible for daily quality assurance checks of products and processes including raw material intake, work in progress and finished goods. Demonstrate positive food safety culture by example. Responsible for product quality and food safety. Ensure that specifications are in place, accessible and understood. Ensure that standards of workmanship meet Company/customer expectations. Ensure that all CCPs are being monitored and controlled. Maintain and develop team building relationships with key managers within the factory environment. Coordinate/provide prompt and appropriate responses to all internal technical and food safety issues. Maintain a good knowledge of the products produced and the manufacturing processes used at the site. Routinely monitor hygiene and production, practices, plant and product to ensure that GMP is being followed. Ensure that the product complies with expected standards in relation to product safety, legality and quality. Ensure that all procedures and practices relating to product traceability are maintained and adhered to, including the accurate completion of all related paperwork. Carry out internal audits such as daily start-up, glass and hard plastic etc as required or instructed. Ensure that all essential equipment such as temperature probes, scales, metal detectors etc are working correctly. Monitor the factory and product temperatures ensuring that any out of tolerance results are reported immediately. Any other tasks deemed reasonable and reasonably requested by management. Skills and Experience:

Knowledge of products and manufacturing process. Meat science/technology; strong knowledge base Numeracy Quality Control and understanding of product allergens Food Safety Level 2 and/or HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) Level 2
